Who Do I Cheer For In The Masters?

The Masters starts up tomorrow and I have no clue to who cheer for.

I am a casual golf fan, so I don’t need to hear about all these guys who are having a great couple of tournaments leading up to Augusta, I need to know which of the big guns have a good chance. Since I am a left-handed golfer I feel an obligation to cheer for Phil and Bubba, which isn’t the worst thing in the world.

What about someone like the reigning champion, Jordan Spieth? The kid was born in the summer of 1993 and has already accomplished more than I ever will. But hey, at least I’m not balding yet, so got you there Jordan! I feel like I still want the Spieth vs Rory McIlroy rivalry to become the next big thing in golf. The Euro vs. the Yankee matchup would be fun to watch for a long time with those two in the pairings on Sundays. Can we just mention how much I hate that Rory spells his last name with a capital “I” next to a lower case “l”, that’s just a dick move and confuses people.

Is Jason Day still raking? Serious question. These are the things I need to know before I try and look like I know what i’m talking about on twitter for the weekend. How about the guy that’s married to Paulina Gretzky, he still partying away and 3-putting away majors? Is the dude who looks like Zac Efron rocking the neon colors from Puma still around?
This is what happens when the golf isn’t relevant besides like 5 times a year, I need some sort of cheat sheet. Either way, Masters week is always a fun time. I can’t wait to hear Jim Nantz, Gary McCord, and Verne Lundquist take me through the weekend with a tradition unlike any other.
