UFC 204: Bisping vs. Henderson 2 Preview

UFC 204

“I think that last one was just to shut (Michael Bisping) up a little bit.” -Dan Henderson, after knocking Bisping out. No, I didn’t pull out my crystal ball and look ahead to Saturday night. That was seven (seven!) years ago at UFC 100, as Henderson talked with Joe Rogan after his victory over Bisping. Whether or not Henderson shut Bisping up isn’t certain (okay, spoiler alert: he didn’t), but Bisping had damn sure done a lot of talking. Prior to the fight, Henderson and Bisping coached opposite one another…

UFC 201: Lawler vs. Woodley Preview

UFC 204

“If I hurt (Conor McGregor), I wasn’t taking his neck.” What were you gonna take? “His soul.” If that doesn’t sum up UFC welterweight champion Robbie in a nutshell, I don’t know what does. But as long as we’re throwing…

UFC 197 Recap- Jones, Johnson both dominate.

UFC 197 is in the books, and  the two best pound-for-pound fighters in the sport (in this writer’s opinion) continued their runs of dominance. With a unanimous decision victory over Ovince St. Preux, former UFC Light Heavyweight champion Jon Jones’ (22-1, 16-1 UFC) made a triumphant return to the Octagon on Saturday night. Jones defeated St. Preux (19-8, 7-3 UFC) 50-45 on all three judges’ scorecards, capturing the interim UFC Light Heavyweight belt in the process. Jones showcased his trademark variety of kicks and elbows, took St. Preux down multiple…
