Some thoughts on certain players:

Harrison Smith (97):

Smith is the highest rated safety in the game and is joined by Jalen Ramsey and Bobby Wagner as the three players with a 97 rating. No issue for me at all.

Andrew Sendejo (85):

Seems a little high, no? But then again remember what happened when Sendejo got injured in the playoffs last season? Sendejo had 80 total tackles and 2 picks in 13 games played in 2017, so pretty decent numbers. Maybe he is more deserving of the rating than I thought…

Anthony Barr and Danielle Hunter (84):

Ok this is why I have a problem. I know I’m not a football savant. I played one year of 6th grade football and called it a career. Loved the game but didn’t love playing the game if that made any sense? But when I see a kid who just got put in a new tax bracket by a mile in Hunter and a freak of nature by all measures in Barr rated lower than Sendejo, we are going to have issues. Hunter has close to 200 sacks already (don’t fact check that number, just take my word for it). Seems like both are just underrated in my eyes.

Kirk Cousins (82):

Here is who is around the same rating as Cousins.

Seems a tad low, but around Godd and Jimmy G I can live with. Alex Smith at an 84? This is where we have trust issues. Alex Smith is the most white bread starting QB in the past 15 years. He literally had a season where he didn’t throw a touchdown to a wide receiver. I’m not kidding. You’re gonna tell me that dude is better than Captain Kirk? Nope. Also after last season Cousins should 100% be ahead of Derek Carr.

Eric Kendricks (79):

This is the one. This is the worst one of them all. Eric Kendricks, in my eyes, is the second most valuable member of the defense outside of Harry the Hitman. The mike linebacker has the most responsibilities and is the captain of the defense in many aspects. You won’t find too many backers who are more reliable in wrapping up the tackle as Kendricks either. He should be around the mid-80’s easy. EA just straight up dropped the ball on that rating.
